Description Position at Ashoka

Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Assisting Correspondence team with daily transcription and editing

Assisting Correspondence team with long-term projects like mailings to donors

Maintaining archival systems

Organizing and maintaining CEO's physical files (books, documents, attachments)

Maintaining CEO's contacts in Salesforce database

Update contact information, organizations, meetings for EO contracts

Tracking in-person meetings for follow-up with Partnerships

The Correspondence Assistant may also:

Assist the Office Manager with shifts at front desk (handling phone, door, greeting guests)

Assist the Board Secretary on special projects.

Time Commitment: 8-24 hours/week; must be available on Sundays; Mondays, Tuesdays preferred (half days during the week are open to discussion)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Owns a PC - desired, but not required.

Detail-oriented, organized, and flexible.

Strong analytical skills and an ability to create systems

High energy and calm manner – able to handle stressful situations and different personalities

Intrapreneurial – able to innovate within an existing organization and get things done well in a new way

Works well without a lot of direction and is able to manage in ambiguity.

Able to communicate ideas and create personal relationships through writing.

Preferred: transcription and dictation experience, Microsoft Suite
