ROLE PURPOSE
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assuring efficient and high-quality implementation of immunization project that will result to increase full immunization coverage (FIC) for priority eligible populations especially (1) children 0-12 mos for polio, tuberculosis, diphtheria, pertussis, tetanus, hepatitis B, and measles, (2) children 5-17 years old for Covid-19; (3) pregnant women for tetanus, and (4) elderly adult population for COVID-19.
The postholder will work closely with the Head of Office and Technical Advisor to develop detailed implementation plans for project activities, developing appropriate implementation tools to track progress and monitor the context. The postholder will also build capacity, and identify capacity needs, of field staff to ensure they are able to implement activities to a high standard. He/she will also liaise with other actors to ensure smooth planning and effective coordination of multi sectoral programming in covered areas or cluster of barangays/municipalities. He/she will be the primary focal person in organizing and mobilizing partners, stakeholders' and institutions. He/she will be the on-site representative of Save the Children in courtesy meetings/planning with key stakeholders at the Regional and Provincial government agencies and for barangay officials and the community at large.
