University degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent experience. Wide experience in acquisition activities, preferably of defence systems, is essential. Demonstrated experience in the acquisition of complex systems including hardware, software and services, through international competition. Experience with Cost Management principles (covering both hardware and software) including but not limited to cost and/or price analysis techniques through procurement and acquisition activities. Knowledge on how to establish, negotiate, monitor and control Intellectual Property Rights clauses, including licensing and terms of use (for the incumbents assigned within an Acquisition Programme, this is a desirable qualification).
