About this position

The Executive Vice President (EVP), as the Chief Operating Officer of the institution and under the guidance of the Board of Executive Directors and the President of the Bank, is responsible for the operation of the Bank and provides day-to-day management oversight of and direction to, the Vice Presidents and all other senior staff. The EVP also oversees the quality control and risk management of all Bank operations and serves as chair of all Management committees responsible for the Bank’s operational activities.

You will be part of an impactful and multidisciplinary team working on projects, tasks, and activities geared to advise the EVP, senior management, and the Bank teams in leading critical issues for the organization.

What you’ll do:

An Operations Associate, and working under limited supervision, you will contribute to the strategic technical support to the Vice Presidency in the execution of all its initiatives, transversal, corporate and operational. Specifically, you will provide input into (i) processes related to the operations policies committee (OPC), (ii) EVP initiatives with operational impact, (iii) corporate, financial and human resources processes, among others.

In addition, you will conduct moderately complex analyses and lead specific tasks or projects related to operational and corporate matters. Technical and analytical input will be provided to the Executive Vice President and EVP´s advisors in the development of activities with varied perspectives (regional, country and sector levels). Project management, procurement management and evaluation techniques, among others, will also be applied as tools for the analytical work to be carried out. this, context your contribution will include the following:

Provide technical and operational guidance on processes related to the OPC with regard to: (i) the operational and sector analysis of all projects submitted to the OPC, (ii) the generation, management and analysis of operational and corporate data, (iii) the review of operations’ compliance with the Bank's policies and regulations, and (iv) analyzing and processing queries directed to the EVP by project teams and other Bank units. Contribute to the implementation and improvement of the Bank's monitoring methodologies with emphasis on supporting the EVP and OPC role regarding the execution of operations. For this, knowledge of the Bank’s evaluation and monitoring systems will be a plus (i.e. Progress Monitoring Reports (PMRs), Project Completion Reports (PCRs), etc. Contribute to the internal communication process among teams and other areas of the Bank.

What you'll need

Education: master’s degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in Economics, Law, Engineering, Management or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience. Operational experience is highly desirable. Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank's official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.
