About the Program
The New Colombo Plan (NCP) is a signature initiative of the Australian government which aims to lift knowledge of the Indo-Pacific in Australia by supporting undergraduates to study and undertake internships in the region, ultimately helping to strengthen Australia’s regional standing by building a diverse cohort of Australian alumni with deeper Indo-Pacific knowledge, capability, and connections. The NCP Program involv es three program areas: Scholarships for students to undertake study, language training and internships in the region, mobility grants to universities to fund student participation in shorter projects in the region and an Alumni Program.
Palladium is the service provider appointed by DFAT to provide managed administrative and support services (MASS) to the NCP Program. The Palladium MASS team provides an integrated suite of services to enable the NCP operational delivery including providing administration services to the Scholarships, Mobility and Alumni Programs, and delivering cross - cutting functions such as financial management. communications and marketing, monitoring and evaluation, events management and risk management.
Role
The Communications and Engagement Coordinator is responsible for enhancing the delivery of communications and engagement activities for the NCP with a focus on digital products and social media.
This role reports to the Manager Engagement Communications and Events and is full-time, fixed term contract until 30 June 2025. The role also works closely with the NCP MASS management team, providing communications and engagement support to the Scholarships, Mobility and Alumni program areas.
Location
Preference for this role is to be based in Adelaide but Brisbane and Canberra will be considered.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Effective coordination of the NCP social media channels to drive brand awareness and engagement.
Effective coordination of digital communications and campaigns
Coordinate a suite email direct marketing communications that ensure NCP participants get timely, relevant, and engaging communications at every stage of their NCP journey from application to alumni.
Efficient support for stakeholder communications and engagement activities and events
Contribute to activities and communications that foster the NCP alumni’s online community.
Efficient administration support for the Program
Review and update Program materials (including documentation, templates, or resources) as directed by the Program Managers.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
Essential
Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience in communications, marketing, digital media, or a related discipline. Proven experience in coordinating and delivering successful digital communications and marketing (traditional and social) campaigns.
