    About the mission

Solidarités International's mission in Mozambique, which began in June 2021, has been expanded since 2022 through the development of integrated, multi-sectoral \"Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM), Food security & Livelihood (FSL), Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)\" programming.

The 2024 programatic strategy is based on 3 axes including the following FSL activities :

A/ Emergency life-saving response to populations affected by natural disasters and to IDPs and newly arrived returnees in underserved districts :

  • Emergency food rations distribution / food distribution

B/ Restore dignified and safe living conditions for vulnerable populations :

  • Small scale food production with trainings and sensitization to nutrition good practices to improve food security, distribution of fishery kits to fisherfolk and trainings

C/ Strengthen access to livelihood and sustain access to public services through reinforcement of local infrastructures

  • Work on the revitalization of the main value chains through recapitalization of lost agricultural inputs, support to agricultural production/support to fishery, support to markets, transformation and conservation. Work on populations resilience through implementation of VSLA, vocational training and IGA.
Build partnership with development actors (Cesal, Oikos) to establish linkage between early recovery activities to development
