Technical cooperation appointments are not expected to lead to a career in the ILO and they do not carry any expectation of renewal or conversion to any other type of appointment in the Organization. A one-year fixed-term contract will be given. Extensions of technical cooperation contracts are subject to various elements including the following: availability of funds, continuing need of the functions and satisfactory conduct and performance.
*Conditions of employment for external candidates: In conformity with existing ILO practice, the appointment of an external candidate will normally be made at the first step of this grade. The entry level salary for this position is 1,577,572.00 (Phpeso) yearly.
The ILO seeks to recruit a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer at the NO-B level for an upcoming US DOL project which seeks to Improve Worker Rights in Rural Sectors of the Indo-Pacific with a focus on Women. The project is implemented in the Philippines and Indonesia, but this post shall be responsible for the monitoring and evaluation activities in the Philippines.
Project outcomes include:
MTO 1.1 National and regional tripartite mechanisms of industry tripartite partners in (1) mainstreaming gender and sector specific labor issues in industry tripartite councils and (2) Occupational Safety and Health in line with ILO Convention No 187 are enhanced
MTO 1.2. Enhanced and improved gender-responsiveness of government’s monitoring, enforcement and remediation on labor standards and OSH
MTO 2.1 Mechanisms and structures that promote compliance to labour laws, gender, and OSH in the supply chain of rural sectors, pilot enterprises and their communities are enhanced
The project falls under the technical responsibility of the LABADMIN/OSH.
Under the overall supervision of the Director of the ILO Country Office for Manila and the direct supervision of the Project Manage for the Philippines, the M&E Officer will implement the the project monitoring and evaluation (M&E) strategy/system based around the Project Performance Monitoring Plan specific to the Philippines.
