We are currently seeking qualified candidate for the position of: Monitoring and evaluation Officer -COVID-19 Vaccine/EpiC, NCD, Papua New Guinea.

Job Summary:

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for daily data collection, monitoring activity progress according to project indicators and tracking implementation of quality improvement measures. Establishing key components of M&E system including data collection, analysis and reporting on key output, outcome and impact indicators for the program and developing data dashboards for real-time reporting. S/He will also be responsible for ensuring data quality and accuracy and collecting, analyzing and processing M&E data, assisting in monitoring and reporting against USAID performance indicators and results, developing methods and milestones to monitor the project’s progress towards its goals, and contributing to programs strategy to ensure that activities and assignments are carried out as planned and project objectives are being achieved.

Accountabilities:

• Captures COVID-19 vaccine data on available databases for analysis and reporting.

• Compiles and submits weekly, monthly and quarterly reports for the COVID-19 vaccine project as per agreed reporting parameters to management.

• Works with Madang PHA to ensure effective monitoring and reporting of all planned COVID-19 vaccine interventions.

• Conducts monthly data verifications to ensure accuracy, completeness and produce the data verification report.
• Follows up all identified data verification gaps for closure with support from project management.

• Ensures adequate supply of data collection and reporting tools at COVID-19 vaccine support sites.

• Supports capacity building initiatives and activities conducted by the M & E Unit; Monitors and keeps track of number of people trained on various COVID-19 vaccine initiatives.

• Ensures proper filing of incoming and outgoing COVID-19 vaccine M&E documents.

Applied Knowledge & Skills:

• Working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures with program design.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite software.

• Ability to problem solve and recommend corrective action as needed.

• Strong organizational and attention detail needed to adhere to project deadlines.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree / diploma Health sciences or related field

- Knowledge/Information Services, Communications,

-Project Management (PM) Certification preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience with public health program management

• Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive fashion with clients and staff.

• Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English; fluent in local language as appropriate.

• Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization.

• Prior experience using Microsoft Office Suite preferred.

• Has sensitivity to cultural diversity and understanding of the political, contextual, and ethical issues in assigned areas.

• Work experience in COVID-19 interventions will be an advantage.

• Proficiency with database management software and on-line search tools required
