Major Function
The Manager - Seafood Markets, serves on the Ocean Markets and Blue Finance (OMF) Team in the WWF-US DC office, contributing to the development and execution of WWF US Ocean Seafood Markets engagement strategy as aligned with WWF US Oceans Markets and Finance program targets. This position will be a critical lead in supporting the development and execution of WWF US Nature Positive Business strategy with the sector and directly responsible for supporting corporate engagement in the SBTN Oceans Hub for the seafood workstream. In addition, the Manager- Seafood Markets will directly manage 4-5 seafood corporate partnerships while implementing programs targeted at deploying market based engagement with companies to mitigate impacts seeking to strive for Nature Positive Business. This will include being responsible for managing current partnerships, as well as building new ones as opportunities arise. Last, this position will support execution of markets-based work in select priority based seascapes. This position will also contribute to reaching the overall WWF US Oceans strategy by working with internal cross functional teams as well as external platforms and NGOs.
Manages 4-5 seafood corporate partnerships collaborating closely with partners in order to drive meaningful change and engagement in Nature Positive Business hierarchy and seafood initiatives and activities. Responsible for implementing, and continuously improving WWF’s Seafood Market Engagement Strategy with partners; including development of specific partner annual strategic plans, presentations, and communications to reach targeted areas of impact. Leads the SBTN Oceans Hub and Seafoods Markets strategy and coordination working closely with the Oceans Hub team to make sure communications are developed; work across the Seafood Markets team to ensure corporate partners are engaging in the initiative. Collaborates with Ocean Market and Finance (OMF) teams as well as the broader Oceans teams in a cross functional manner in order to achieve alignment and program execution of program initiatives related to corporate partners. Supports market-based engagement in select priority seascapes including strategy development and execution. Liaises with external stakeholders including but not limited to academics, NGOs, platforms, industry groups, and foundations in order to support initiative development and implementation. Performs other duties as assigned.
