The Safety & Security Manager will be responsible for working with staff on a wide variety of security related activities at IRI. In coordination with the Security Team, the ideal candidate will be experienced in managing security related issues in the international space and adaptable to facing issues that occur in the countries where IRI operates. The individual will be detail oriented with, the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment and make decisions during exigent circumstances.
This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC. This position may involve international travel.
Position Requirements:
Primary Functions & Responsibilities:
Bachelors or better in Political Science or related field.
5-7 years’ experience in security and/or intelligence experience in law enforcement, government, or military. Undergraduate degree. International relations, emergency management, security studies, or related field preferred. Demonstrated experience working with federal agencies, civil society organizations/NGOs, and/or security firms. Physical security experience, e.g., policy, risk assessments, emergency management, crisis management, intelligence, travel, event security, or transport security.
