The position is to be filled as of April 1, 2022, with a contract duration of two years. Employment location will be Bonn, Germany, with possible business trips to Welthungerhilfe's project countries.

Welthungerhilfe's Internal Audit Unit aims to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of its operations as well as its control, risk management, and governance systems to ensure the organization's ongoing protection. As Junior Expert, you will contribute to the implementation of Internal Audit's "co-sourcing" concept, gaining insight into our team's extensive audit universe and risk-oriented audit planning. In particular, you will support the implementation of a consulting-oriented audit culture with regard to a sustainable optimization of organizational processes in compliance with professional standards, demonstrating a high degree of intergrity as well as high standards of ethical values.

Your responsibilities

  • Development of thematic questionnaires and document lists for audits
  • Support in the development of internal and external co-sourcing (at Head Office and abroad)
  • Carry out data analyses and assisting with evaluations/reports from the audit management software
  • Support the further development of internal audit processes and the risk-oriented audit approach
  • Support the knowledge management and reputation of the Internal Audit Unit internally and externally (Intranet, training material, presentations etc.)

Your profile

  • A university or polytechnic degree in economics, business administration, accounting, auditing or a related field
  • Initial experience in the field of auditing and its professional standards
  • Confident handling of MS Office and, if possible, data analysis tools
  • Stylistically confident writing of texts and reports
  • Very good coordination and organizational skills
  • Strong intercultural skills, team spirit and good communication skills
  • Willingness to go on business trips to areas with volatile security conditions
  • Excellent spoken and written German and English language skills; knowledge of French would be a great advantage
