IFD/FMM - Research and knowledge management support - Consultant

About this position

We are looking for a well-organized, dynamic and willing-to-learn consultant to incorporate to our team. The objective of this consultancy is to support the work carried out by the FMM division in the development and dissemination of knowledge products, in the analysis of the effectiveness of FMM interventions, and the preparation and execution of loans and technical cooperation.

What you will do:

Working in close coordination with the team leader(s), the assignment entails:

· Collaborate with the FMM team in research projects, performing tasks such as: (i) gathering data and producing datasets; (ii) producing literature reviews; (iii) performing econometric analysis of the statistical information; and (iv) drafting research documents.

· Supporting the management of peer review, editing and publication process of the knowledge products.

· Collaborate with the preparation and review of sector notes, briefings, presentations and analytical documents of the division.

· Actively participate in initiatives and regional projects and events that the division undertakes.

· Support activities of the divisions aimed at evaluating and improving the effectiveness of FMM’s loans projects.

· Accompany the process of preparing operational documents, which includes reviewing, analyzing and contributing with specific technical inputs to Project Profiles, Proposals for the Development of the Operation, and Draft Loan Proposals.

· Support the preparation and execution of technical cooperations.

What you will need:

· Education: Bachelor’s degree required, with specialization in economics, fiscal policy, public policy, public administration, political science, development studies, environmental management, or any other relevant area related to the scope of this consultancy.

· Experience: At least 2 years of practical experience in technical positions within governments, international organizations, academia and/or private sector companies.

· Languages: English and Spanish.
