Master’s degree, preferably in Programme Management or Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Minimum ten years’ specific senior leadership experience in Programme Management, acquisition and life cycle management including financial and procurement aspects, ideally in a multinational environment. Demonstrated ability and experience in creating and developing diverse, inclusive and high performing teams through the application of inclusive leadership principles and practice. Well-developed conceptual thinking, analytics and problem solving skills. Experience in schedule management and lifecycle management of NATO and/or national armament programmes. Proven negotiation skills that demonstrate the ability to gain buy-in and achieve desired outcomes across multiple stakeholder and governance groups. Proven and extensive experience of effectively managing time and work while under pressure and producing high-quality products under short-notice deadlines. Proven and extensive experience in risk identification and mitigation. Comprehensive, extensive and proven experience in programme management at senior level leading multiple project teams. Extensive and proven ability to set and implement performance goals and expectations, with relevant metrics, and to redirect and improve performance where needed. Knowledge of information systems at end-user level, and experience in using personal computers and software packages. Fundamental knowledge of AAP-20. Knowledge of cost management principles. Programme and Project Management certification [MSP, PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent]. WHAT DO WE OFFER? The contract may be renewed, but will not exceed the definite tenure of 9 years. Duty travel expected, in accordance with NATO policy, in support of approved operations and missions, on a case-by-case basis, by traveling to theatre/mission locations, especially where Agency personnel are/will be serving.
