As of January 2011, as per decision of the Country Multi-sectoral Coordination Committee (CMCC) and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (GF), the United Nations Development Programme in Kyrgyzstan has become Principal Recipient (PR) of several Global Fund grants.
A Grants Implementation Unit was established in UNDP which is responsible for implementation of all GF grants in Kyrgyzstan for which UNDP is the Principal Recipient. The Unit includes various programme, procurement, finance and M&E staff.
The initial assignment is for 6 months subject to further extension based on performance evaluation and budget availability. The Prgramme Analyst promotes a client, quality and results-oriented approach. The key results have an impact on the overall effectiveness of the project, both in the carrying out the HIV related programme activities and in the overall success of the project’s implementation. Duties and Responsibilities
Ensuring effective implementation and coordination of programme activities within the HIV grant component focusing on:
Ensuring facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the area of monitoring and evaluation, focusing on:
Identifying and formulating lessons learned and documenting best practices from programme implementation to be integrated into project reports; Supporting the design and delivery of programme related trainings and/or capacity building to personnel of MoH, other SRs, and implementing partners involved in the implementation of GF grants; Advising on introduction of innovative work approaches to HIV prevention in Kyrgyzstan; Participating in external supervision and evaluation missions of the GF and other agencies and providing inputs as required.Cross-Functional & Technical Competencies
