The pay rate is equivalent to $23 -$25 USD per hour.

Position Overview

The Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (Global Partnership), hosted at the United Nations Foundation, is a dynamic international network bringing together over 700 partners including governments, international organizations, private companies, civil society organizations, and many others.
This year we launch our brand-new strategy which will take us through 2030. Our vision is to achieve a world where data and technology is driving sustainable and equitable development. We will deliver this vision by focusing on three core objectives:

We will strengthen national data systems that use data and technology from across the public and private sectors for timely decision-making.We will make inclusion the norm, putting people at the center of data production, sharing and use so that their experience is visible and the power of data is used to fight inequality.We will change the rules that govern data, ensuring they are accountable to those who the data is intended to serve.The Executive Assistant will provide support to the Chief Executive Officer of the Global Partnership as she works to implement the strategy, by managing all day-to-day matters, including but not limited to, calendar and travel management, meeting logistics for internal and external appointments, and expense reporting. The successful candidate will also provide support related to the Board of Directors. This role requires critical thinking and a willingness to constantly learn and evolve, along with excellent organizational and communication skills.

This is a fixed-term, part-time position - 17.5 hours per week for 1 year – based in London, UK. The preferred schedule is from 1:30 pm to 5 pm daily, with some variability due to high-level meeting duties described below.

The Global Partnership London team works both from home and from Public Hall in Westminster. The successful candidate is strongly encouraged to take advantage of opportunities to work in Public Hall, as schedules allow.

Essential Functions

Support to the CEO:
Own and manage the CEO’s extremely active calendar, including meeting logistics and technical support, ensuring that time is allocated to the highest priorities. This includes proactive troubleshooting and providing solutions in a complex and fast-moving environmentServe as primary internal and external point of contact for the CEO for all meetings, events and speaking engagementsCommunicate directly, and on behalf of the CEO, with board members, donors and high-level executives from government, civil society, and the private sector, on matters related to the PartnershipSupport the preparation and delivery of written materials and presentations, including conducting background research, providing first drafts, and formatting materials in association with the CEO’s speaking engagements and meeting participationArrange all travel for the CEOProcess reimbursements and credit card reports for the CEO.Serve as a confidential source of information to the CEOGovernance Support: Schedule governance meetings and individual meetings with board membersArrange logistics for in-person meetingsPrepare and or/coordinate the drafting of agendas, memos, or presentations for board meetings, under the direction of the CEO and the Associate Director of Strategy and DevelopmentTake notes and draft minutes for governance meetings and other high-level meetings.Track and support on any next steps or follow-up areas identified in meetingsOther Duties: Provide support to the Operations team related to scheduling meetings, arranging logistics, and organizing travel for other members of the Global Partnership, as time allowsOther duties as assignedSelection Criteria At least 1-3 year of administrative experienceExecutive assistant experience preferredProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteWillingness to manage work calmly in demanding and fast-paced environments with many moving piecesHigh degree of professionalism and strong work ethicExcellent writer and communicatorHigh level of attention to detail, flexibility, and patienceHigh level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential informationProblem solver who thinks laterally to resolve situations and find the right answersAn exceptional team player; exemplifies a work style that is flexible, respectful, collaborative and nimbleCan build trust and confidence across a diverse range of staff, board members, and partner organizationsCan build strong relationships and trust across culture, race, gender, and other group identities, both internally and externallyAssessment is part of the interview processCan travel internationally 1 – 2 times per year
