CSIS seeks a highly motivated Events Coordinator to help execute the Center’s numerous live events as part of the Office of External Relations (ER) and Streaming and Broadcasting (S&B), working collaboratively across teams in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position will work closely with ER and S&B management to provide logistical, streaming, digital communications, administrative, and event management support. The candidate should be a motivated self-starter who is passionate about event planning, tracking, and executing live events. The position will be in person at CSIS’s headquarters in Washington, DC. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.

The minimum salary for this position is $55,000.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate across all CSIS programs to ensure information is correctly input for all CSIS public events in Event Management Solutions (EMS).
• Assist the Senior Events Manager in EMS training for incoming staff.
• Manage the Streaming & Broadcasting (S&B) event schedule by ensuring information in EMS is transferred to the S&B calendar and updated in real time.
• Manage link creation for virtual and hybrid events on Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
• Act as an interlocutor between ER, Conferencing, the iDeas Lab, and S&B teams.
• Communicate and coordinate with program staff and event guests to schedule test calls for events.
• Support with metrics and analytics compilation.
• Assist with the development of graphics and layout for the Visix Kiosks that display event information to guests.
• Compile future high profile event spreadsheets to discuss at weekly meetings.
• Additional duties and projects as needed.


KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail and the ability to prioritize, track, and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with the back end of the following platforms: Zoom, Microsoft Teams, YouTube, EMS.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to provide strong customer service.
