Organizational Background

The Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization with its headquarters in Vienna, Austria is the international organization setting up the global verification system foreseen under the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT), which is the treaty banning any nuclear-weapon-test explosion or any other nuclear explosion. The Treaty provides for a global verification regime, including a network of 337 stations worldwide, a communications system, an international data centre and on-site inspections to monitor compliance.

Organizational Setting

This position is located in the International Monitoring Systems (IMS) Division that applies engineering and science to develop, instantiate, and to operate measurement stations around the world as well as to receive, process and disseminate the data collected by these stations as well as related analysis products.

Reporting Lines

Under the direct supervision of the Head of ERP, to:

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate and perform SAP supply chain management application implementation, maintenance, and support; Conduct requirement gathering and blueprinting, change impact assessments, and root cause analyses with stakeholders; Configure and develop SAP procurement and supply chain management solutions according to organizational design and best industry practices; Perform release and configuration management, compile and maintain technical and functional documentation; monitor and report on incident statistics including system and service provider performance and document and test back-up and recovery/contingency procedures; Coordinate supply chain management enhancements end-to-end and with close involvement of all stakeholders; Provide technical and functional advice in support of CTBTO’s initiatives to improve its operational/administrative processes; Perform risk management and monitor the adequacy of performance of the procurement and supply chain management applications against the business needs of the Organization; Identify and coordinate interventions required to further streamline and digitalize procurement and supply chain management processes and transactions; Develop and maintain manuals, facilitate training for customers; Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

University degree in business administration, information technology/computer science, or related fields.

Work Experience and Qualifications

At least five (5) years of relevant working experience in SAP ERP implementation, maintenance, and support; Extensive configuration and development knowledge of SAP modules, preferably in the areas Public Sector Management (incl. Funds and Grants Management), Financial Accounting, Payroll, Material Management, Procurement, Project Systems, Supply Chain is essential; Hands-on working supply chain management experience from SAP P2P and S/4 HANA solutions is essential; Excellent understanding of supply chain process and their business values drivers to be able to support key stakeholders is essential; Strong analytical skills, result-oriented approach paired with highly structured working style and good sense of responsibility, flexibility, and team spirit; Working knowledge of SAP Procure-to-pay (P2P) and SAP Ariba is highly desirable; Strong will to pursue a problem, identify the source, and propose workable solutions in a timely manner in collaboration with other team members; Official SAP Certification (e.g. SAP Development Consultant or SAP procurement functional consultant) is desirable; Proven experience in project management is required, PRINCE2 certification is desirable; Proven experience in managing IT services is required, ITIL foundation is desirable; Strong ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams/stakeholders in an international and fast-moving environment is essential.

Languages

Excellent written and oral communication skills in English are essential. Knowledge of other official CTBTO languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is desirable.
