Background:

The post is located in the Mission’s field office in Drvar within the Office of Central Co-ordination (OCC) of the Fund Administration Unit.


Should you be selected for the position, you will provide reliable and safe driving services in support of Mission’s operations and ensure proper user maintenance of official Mission vehicles.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the National Administrative Officer (NP1), the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

1. Responsibly drives official Mission vehicles for the transportation of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents and other items; Meets official personnel and visitors at the airport, when required;

2. Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through checks of the level of liquids and lubricants, tyre pressure, bulbs, general vehicle condition, documents, tools and equipment as per the Vehicle Check list. Inspects the vehicle for damage, reports any vehicle malfunction noticed and provides input to preparations of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports;

3. Ensures that the vehicle is kept clean, is refuelled and in good working condition;

4. Ensures proper display of all OSCE insignia on vehicles (OSCE and CD stickers, registration, license plates) as well as availability of all the required documents and supplies including vehicle insurance, map of the city/country, first aid kit, necessary spare parts;

5. Verifies that all passengers wear seatbelts at all times in the vehicle; Ensures compliance with OSCE regulations and rules pertaining to transport management and travel and vehicle security; Ensures that immediate action is taken in case of the vehicle involvement in an accident.

Necessary Qualifications:

Completed secondary education; Driving license \"B\" category; Minimum 2 years of experience in similar jobs as a professional driver; Skills in minor repair and basic self-car maintenance; Basic computer skills (ability to use email, MS Office); Good working knowledge of English.

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions is 1,635.92/month. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna health insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.

Appointments are normally made at step 1 of the applicable OSCE salary scale. At the discretion of the appointing authority a higher step may be approved up to a maximum of step 3 subject to specific conditions.

This position is open to citizens and permanent residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina only.
