Terms of ReferenceBackground information/Organizational Context

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Representation in the Republic of Korea is inviting applications for the digital and DRTV fundraising internship program in line with the long-term growth plan of the private sector fundraising program.

This internship is a learning opportunity to gain knowledge and practical experience related to digital and DRTV fundraising and future work in a field related to UNHCR's mission. By being directly exposed to the work of the Organization, interns will have the chance to develop their skills and aptitudes.

The intern will assist digital and DRTV fundraising program of UNHCR Korea Private Sector Partnership (PSP) Team in its efforts to acquire individual donors and cultivate new supporters through various digital and TV channels and platforms.

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Intern will be dependent on the fundraising priorities over the course of the internship and may include:

1. Support in Digital and DRTV Fundraising Campaign and Adverts Production
a) Assist with the production of digital fundraising campaign and assets (researching, drafting, editing subtitle videos and banner images, draft ad-copies)
b) Provide English to Korean/Korean to English Translation for fundraising campaign and assets as required
c) Provide support in the development of digital donation flow and testing donation pages for a better user experience
d) Research new digital ideas and the latest trends in digital and TV media
marketing of other charities
e) Update PC/Mobile homepage contents such as banners and postings (upon request)

2. Regular Reporting and analysis
a) Assist with updating monthly dashboards for Digital and DRTV reporting purposes
b) Provide Micro donation platform (Happybean, Benevity) report (upon request)
c) Assist with updating digital ads results based on Google Analytics data

3. Other tasks
a) Admin/logistics support (printing, laminating, purchasing small items, etc)
b) Any other tasks relevant to the position scope as requested by supervisors

Minimum qualifications required
• Be a recent graduate (studies completed within two years of applying) or current student in a graduate/undergraduate school programme from a university or higher education facility accredited by UNESCO; and
• Have completed at least two years of undergraduate studies in a field relevant or of interest to the work of the Organization

Working Hours and Internship Duration
• Able to participate in a minimum period of 6 months of internship program on a full-time basis, from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday

Related Skill and Knowledge
• Strong written and spoken communication skills in Korean and English; able to translate English to Korean and vice versa
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is highly desirable
• Image/video editing skills using Adobe photoshop and Adobe Premiere is preferred
• Understanding about UNHCR's works and humanitarian issues

COVID-19 Requirement
• Engagement as an intern in UNHCR is subject to proof of vaccination against COVID-19
