The Finance & Resource Planning (F&RP) Division is led by the foundation CFO and partners with our colleagues to invest the foundation’s resources wisely and boldly in service of people who need it most. We do this through maximizing the impact of our partnerships, investments, and people, protecting the foundation’s assets and brand, and enabling the foundation’s leadership to allocate resources wisely.

Your Role

The CFO co-sponsors the shared Executive Leadership Team (ELT) focus area of Partner Strengthening & Diversification, with a goal to support a strategic approach that guides teams to develop a strong diversified partner and grantee ecosystem for the purpose of increasing impact. Partners primarily encompass those we directly fund through grants, contracts, and PRIs to further our programmatic work. However, we also consider partners to include co-funders, sub-awardees or subcontractors, governments, multi-laterals, vendors from whom we procure goods and services, as well as other individuals, institutions, and entities with whom we partner in some material capacity to achieve impact. While many of the efforts that are considered part of this focus area also tie to our DEI journey, this portfolio of work broadly encompasses partner strengthening and diversification towards greater impact.

This role will serve as the day-to-day lead on the dynamic and distributed portfolio of in-flight and new projects and initiatives in support of the Partner Strengthening & Diversification objectives. You will work closely with the CFO, other ELT sponsors, and the Chief of Staff (COS) for the Chief Financial Officer, providing leadership, coordination, and execution support on projects and initiatives across the organization as well as capacity for day-to-day activities led from the Office of the CFO. This role will collaboratively work to a) develop an organizing framework, plans, and roadmaps for the distributed efforts to achieve the goals of the Partner Strengthening & Diversification ELT focus area, b) facilitate the definition of time-bound objectives and deliverables for this work, as well as decision-making by sponsors and others to steer the work toward this focus area, c) work both independently and in close collaboration with the CFO, Chief of Staff, and others to support projects, research, analysis, writing, information coordination, and relationship management, and d) interact regularly with the CFO, other executive sponsors, the Executive Assistant, the Chief of Staff, and other members of the F&RP leadership team and their staff.

 • Network with a variety of collaborators to gather and/or disseminate information.
 • Curate/organize information and resources in support of the Office of the CFO. Prepare briefs to outline new bodies of work, summarize existing efforts, or frame principles to guide projects. Develop memos & presentations supporting projects and ad hoc work.
