Introduction
The mission of the Green Climate Fund is to assist developing countries to respond to climate change while bringing prosperity to their people.
Established in 2010, the GCF invests in transformational climate projects in the developing world. The Fund makes an ambitious contribution to global climate action and channels significant financial resources into developing countries to help build low-emission and climate-resilient societies. It is country-driven and undertakes actions that reflect the circumstances of each country concerned and its national aspirations. The GCF is a key enabler of the 2015 Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
Since its establishment, the GCF has approved 216 projects in 129 countries and has committed USD 12.0 billion in climate finance. In addition, it has built up an extensive program to support developing countries to identify their needs, in particular, those who are most vulnerable to climate change impacts.

Position Objective
The Corporate Performance and Transformation Lead, reporting to the Head of Policy and Strategy, will be responsible for managing the Secretariat’s corporate work planning, performance reporting and identifying ways to optimize Secretariat performance in delivering the GCF Strategic Plan. The successful candidate will dissect data to understand what makes GCF tick, pinpoint areas for improvement, isolate key indicators to drive performance gains, and track overall implementation, working hand-in-hand with managers across the Secretariat. S/he will be a data-driven, analytical, systems thinker who develops a deep understanding of the GCF business and uses available performance data to generate insight and advise senior management. S/he will also deliver solutions to strengthen systems and practices for corporate work planning and KPI development, performance monitoring and data management, project management oversight, and Board reporting and accountability, based on deep knowledge of best practices. S/he will be a self-starting collaborator who succeeds in delivering results through effective networking, collaboration and influencing stakeholders across the Secretariat to drive continuous improvement and organizational excellence.
Please note: This is a role in the corporate strategy area of the GCF Secretariat; it is not focused on IT or HR transformation.
