Expected duration

6 to 11 months Duties and Responsibilities

• Work closely with the ITSC team to identify and prioritize digital initiatives and guides the development of concept notes and project proposals for these initiatives.
• Conduct research and analysis on the latest digital trends and technologies to identify the gaps in the skills set, and to prepare proposals for bridging these gaps.
• Provide technical guidance and support to ITSC management to leverage the digital impact among Palestine refugees.
• Identify opportunities for digital innovation and provide recommendations for implementation.
• Work with relevant stakeholders to develop a roadmap for digital ecosystem in Gaza.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications/special skills

Academic Qualifications:

Master degree from an accredited educational institution in information technology information management, Information systems, computer science, computer engineering, Software engineering, Business Administration, Management, or other
related disciplines.

Experience:

• A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in information technology including advanced tech area, research, and analysis.
• Effective communication and coordination skills.
• Proven ability to operate in a dynamic and sometimes challenging environment.
• Respect for diversity and adaptability.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD university degree from an accredited educational institution in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience working in a United Nations organisation or INGOs
• Demonstrated experience in presenting work to both technical and non-technical audience.

• High team spirit, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Language:

• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Service conditions:

• The duration of the consultancy is 6 to 11 months, extendable according to performance and availability of funds.
• Remuneration for this consultancy will be 1,825.40 USD a month and will be based on deliverable and depending on fund availability and qualifications and relevant experience.
• The consultant will be based in Gaza.
