PROJECT BACKGROUND:

EpiC is a multi-year global project funded by the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The project provides strategic technical assistance (TA) and direct service delivery to break through barriers to 95-95-95 and promote self-reliant management of national HIV programs by improving HIV case-finding, prevention, treatment programming and viral load (VL) suppression among key populations (KPs). In the Philippines, EpiC is into its fourth year of implementation. In Greater Metro Manila, EpiC is supporting 52 sites to address critical gaps and bottlenecks in the response to HIV among KPs and strengthen capacity of local, community based KP organizations, and work closely with the government of the Philippines to deliver HIV services tailored to the needs of KPs. In addition to these activities, EpiC Philippines will focus on expanding HIV case-finding in the community, PrEP and treatment initiation, adherence, and retention support for people living with HIV (PLHIV) to reach undetectable equals untransmittable (U=U) status.

JOB SUMMARY:

The position entails overseeing various critical duties and responsibilities essential for the efficient operation of PrEP and HIV Self-Testing (HIVST) services. This involves management of PrEP and HIVST kits inventory, including counting, replenishment, and organizing stocks to ensure sufficient supplies for clients. Additionally, effective dispatch operations are paramount, involving clear client communication and coordination with logistics services such as LBC and Grab, along with diligent follow-up on test results (for HIV ST). Monthly performance reporting is integral to the position, requiring the compilation and analysis of relevant data to assess service efficacy. Furthermore, the post requires monitoring responsibilities such as consistent updating of Google Sheet to track the status of each transaction. Lastly, maintaining communication channels is vital for facilitating seamless interactions and support for clients. Overall, the role demands a keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication abilities to uphold the standards of PrEP and HIVST services.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and update the PrEP and HIVST Kits Inventory. This includes commodity stocks on hand, requesting replenishment for low stocks, and organizing and safekeeping of these logistics.

  • Coordinate and track the distribution of HIVST and PrEP commodities including client communication, courier coordination (LBC, Grab, etc) and follow up clients for HIVST result.

  • Submit a monthly performance report to EpiC Philippines

  • Updating of google sheet tracker on status of each request to ensure that all requests are processed and in order.

  • Maintain STPREP@hashinfo.org

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Possess strong attention to detail, a commitment to data integrity, and the ability to work effectively within established confidentiality protocols.

    • Can work with required timeline.

    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work with others effectively.

    • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences and organizations.

    • Good writing and verbal communication skills in both English and Filipino.

    • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office software programs

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

      • At least Senior High School graduate, college undergraduate, vocational course, or any equivalent.

      • High level of familiarity on community-based PrEP initiation and CBS

      • At least six (6) months of experience in HIV work especially in conducting Community Based Screening for HIV and providing HIV information.

      • Good communication and coordination skills.

      • At least high school level education.

      • Ability to use basic google and Microsoft office applications.

      • Must be able to work well with others in and out of the organization.
