We’re seeking applications for a Community Engagement Worker to join us in the Armadale area as part of our Strength2Strength (S2S) team. The S2S projects aims to discuss, confront, and reframe attitudes towards manhood, masculinity, and violence towards women in a culturally appropriate manner within local CALD communities.

Where you come in:

In this casual position based in the Armadale area, you’ll help us to successfully engage with culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) young people, their families and community to drive sustainable changes in awareness, attitudes and behaviours that lead to or contribute to violence against women and their children. As part of our Strength2Strength team, you’ll report to our Team Leader.

You will make an impact by:

Engaging and educating CALD young people, their families, and communities on family violence Supporting the S2S team to provide a culturally safe space for young people to reflect, express views and share experiences with one another about culturally embedded attitudes towards domestic violence and violence against women

This role requires:

Experience of working with young people and families from culturally diverse communities Knowledge of community development principles and practices Strong interpersonal and communication skills
