Job Description

Are you passionate about making communities safer for women and their children? As part of our Domestic Family Violence Specialist Support, we need you to join our team of dedicated professionals, helping to maximise their impact on the lives of vulnerable people. In this varied and challenging role, you’ll help give people the tools they need to navigate this tough time and thrive in the future.

54 reasons is Australia’s leading child rights organisation – no ordinary not-for-profit.

Proudly part of the Save the Children Australia Group and global movement, we’re here to make sure that everyone understands their rights. So that children and young people have their rights met and thrive, in all their diversity.

We champion the children, young people and families we work with. We are inspired by the curiosity and creativity of children and motivated by the love of those who care for them.

With the child’s voice at the centre, we provide quality services to children and their caregivers, advocating with them so that children develop, learn, and are connected, safe and confident. Our people are proudly local, reflective of the communities we serve - in every state and territory, and across regions, remote areas and capital cities.

Where you come in:

In week 1, you’ll work 7.6 hours per day from Monday to Friday and in week 2, you’ll work 7.6 hours per day from Monday to Thursday. These hours will be operated from the refuge and in community settings, all located within the Moreton Bay region. This role is to cover maternity leave until 31 March 2025.

You will make an impact by:

Providing holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes. Identifying strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing client progress towards these goals. Promoting skills which increase health, safety and development. Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard. Enhance stakeholder relationships and partnerships with the view of providing clients with support that will help them to address their needs. Work collaboratively within a small team to deliver best practice to women and children who are experiencing DFV.
