Tasks and Responsibilities
Under the direct supervision of the Deputy Director and the overall supervision of the Director of the Democratization Department, should you be the selected candidate, you will be responsible for:
Responsible for the managing of the Governance Section (GS), comprising a Central Governance Portfolio, a Local Governance Portfolio and an Elections Portfolio, directly supervising a team of approximately 18 staff members; Responsible for the identifying, designing, implementing and evaluating of projects of the Governance Section with its respective portfolios; Ensuring the implementation of the Section' s programme and projects in accordance with departmental and Mission strategies, OSCE rules and regulations, and provides input to the Department's senior management on the design of the Section' s programme and projects, including budget supervision; Overseeing and ensuring quality implementation of programmes and projects; Advising on departmental policies aimed at enhancing the functioning of democratic institutions at central and local level; Providing analysis and expertise on central and local level institutional development,including with reference to Electoral Management Bodies, as required; Co-ordinating the work of and liaises with relevant international agencies working with relevant Kosovo institutions such as Prime Minister Office, Assembly of Kosovo, Ministry of Local Government Administration, Independent Institutions, Electoral Management Bodies, and Municipalities; Performing any other duties as required.
