About this position
The Compete Caribbean Partnership Facility (CCPF) is looking for a specialized Legal Support Consultant to develop the scalability from a legal point of view of The BlueBOT project. More specifically, the consultant will work with Bajan Digital Creations Inc to (i) develop the right hiring model for The BlueBOT Project team in its different areas and tasks and (ii) perform due diligence for intellectual property registration and iii) Advise and represent where necessary and as required to ensure the unencumbered operation of The BlueBOT Project business activity in accordance with the laws of the territory. Through this technical assistance, Bajan Digital will be able to establish a solid legal framework for the operation of The BlueBOT Project inside and outside Barbados, ensuring the protection of intellectual property and a safe and viable business growth.
You will work with the Compete Caribbean Team. This team is responsible for private sector development across the Caribbean and for providing technical assistance to the Bluebot project in Barbados.
What you’ll do:
Create a legal contracting template that covers Bajan Digital's needs and all the services it offers. Template documents need to be drafted in accordance with Barbados' statutes for: Employees Independent contractors Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreements License documentation Conduct due diligence and provide detailed and relevant advice on the process, fees, and requirements for the protection of Bajan Digital Creations Incorporated's intellectual property, including, but not limited to, the following: The BlueBOT Project trademark The BlueBOT Project logo The Process used by The BlueBOT Project for reef analysis. Robotic Exploration Experience Feed trademark Copyright of collected content and created works, inclusive of datasets and derivatives of the datasets. Provide detailed and relevant advice on the best procedures and processes to meet the fiduciary requirements of Bajan Digital Creations so that both the fiduciary requirements and business objectives are met. Create and write templates for documents that may bind Bajan Digital Creations Inc or its agents. Advise on the rights and title of all Bajan Digital Creations Inc intellectual property regarding The BlueBOT Project. Advise and represent where necessary and as required to ensure the unencumbered operation of The BlueBOT Project business activity in accordance with the laws of the territory. Execute instruction to protect and/or enforce the rights and title of all Bajan Digital Creations Inc intellectual property regarding The BlueBot Project. Advise on the fiduciary responsibilities of Bajan Digital Creations Inc for the particular territory in which The BlueBot Project is offered. Execute instruction and train a suitable agent of Bajan Digital Creations Inc to satisfy the responsibilities of Bajan Digital Creations Inc. Make themselves available for timely ritual reports on the progress of all active work.Deliverables and Payments Timeline:

That shows which of our IPs may be eligible for patents. That shows the optimum processes/ paths for the protection of our IP. That shows the estimated costs associated with the pursuance of any path. That uses language such that any competent delegated agent of Bajan Digital Creations Inc may be able to read and execute the steps therein to satisfactory results. That are simplified such that they are not onerous to read, interpret or communicate. Deliverable 4 - For fiduciary responsibilities & Regulatory Recommendations: Documents detailing the operational step-by-step process: That allows any delegated agent of Bajan Digital Creations Inc to execute the fiduciary responsibilities of Bajan Digital Creations Inc in the territory of Barbados. That uses language such that any competent delegated agent of Bajan Digital Creations Inc may be able to read and execute the steps therein to satisfactory results. That are simplified such that they are not onerous to read, interpret or communicate Recommendations on the regulatory framework to enable bluebot to operate in accordance with the laws of the territory.What you'll need
Education: Master’s (or equivalent advanced degree) in Law or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.
