Duties and Responsibilities:

Facility Improvements

Provide technical support and supervision on PSA plant infrastructure improvements Provide technical support on oxygen equipment to sites for the duration of the project.

Maintenance and Operation of PSA Plants

Work to develop a list of spare parts for PSA plants to purchase and work with supply chain team in the purchase of PSA spare parts. Travel to PSA plant sites and provide mentorship and training to PSA plant operators and technicians on PSA maintenance, oxygen safety, and oxygen cylinder storage

Maintenance of Oxygen Concentrators

Support in the establishment and operationalizing of a repair shop for oxygen concentrators Provide training on the maintenance and repair of oxygen concentrators, engaging external partners where necessary Conduct biomedical equipment repairs, preventative maintenance, and calibration, primarily on bedside oxygen concentrators Assist in development of a list of spare parts for oxygen concentrators (based on info gathered in prior assessment), both for preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance

Minimum Requirements

Required:

Degree or diploma in biomedical engineering or related relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, electronics, computer) or trade (mechanic, plumbing/medical gas, electrician, electro-mechanical)1-2 years’ hands on experience with troubleshooting and repair of medical devices, including portable oxygen concentrators Service-oriented mindset and strong communication skillsAbility to work well with a diverse team, honoring the concerns and priorities of staff in field sites

Preferred:

Experience developing and/or implementing training or educational programsHands on experience with PSA oxygen plants, rotary screw air compressors, oxygen cylinders, and oxygen pipeline systems. Experience working in developing countries
