To act as course coordinator by providing guidance and coaching to students, ensuring the availability of training documentation and equipment. To prepare examinations, assess and monitor students' progress, and provide regular oral feedback and progress reports. To ensure training standards by monitoring the training methods applied, and provide guidance and advice to OJTI staff. To advise within the scope of expertise and assist the Training Team as and when required. To hold and maintain a valid STDI (synthetic training device instructor) endorsement. Carry out any other task in line with the main purpose of the job.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

Completed university studies of 4 years attested by a diploma in a relevant area (Aeronautical engineering, Air Traffic Management, etc.) or a completed ATC training.

Hold a valid EU 2015/340 ATCO license and ACS rating. Hold a valid OJTI or STDI endorsement. Internal candidates should check on the intranetto see what level of in-house experience is considered equivalent to educational qualifications where appropriate. A minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience. Experience in a Control Centre with a traffic complexity* comparable to the one of Maastricht UAC would be considered an advantage.

*Complexity in terms of multilayer sectorization, climbing and descending traffic, military traffic/exercises, multiple crossing points and multiple aircraft profiles

Experience in giving classroom courses, conducting examinations and assessments Knowledge of the best practices in teaching methods, testing and assessment, and learning styles Experience with advanced ATC systems (advanced FDPS functionalities, 4D profile calculations, etc.) Understanding of CNS Systems and Simulator Tools Understanding of Human Performance Limitations, Assessment, and Validation English Language Proficiency (ELP) level 4 certificate Communication : You adapt communication to different situations and audiences Teamwork : You foster teamwork. Analytical thinking : You analyse information and identify relationships. Creativity and Innovation : You are open to new approaches. Planning and Organising : You display an organized and methodical approach. Ad hoc training delivery outside of core hours or on weekends may be required. Ability to work in a multinational and multicultural environment. Professional conduct in line with the corporate behaviours of the Agency, i.e. result-driven, readiness to change, customer focus, integrity and team-player approach. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. For this particular job, candidates must be proficient users of English at level C1.
