Purpose of Job
The Analyst, SBI (x2) supports the implementation of the strategy of the EBRD in the area of sustainable business and infrastructure. The Analysts will take active part in the execution of all related deliverables and support the development of green elements of investments that deliver the EBRD’s Green Economy Transition agenda and comply with the goals of Paris Agreement.
She/he takes active part in the execution of independent research and contributes to the ongoing initiatives of the team in relation to project finance, technical assistance, policy dialogue and capacity building activities.
Two (2) analyst positions are anticipated focused on Sustainable Infrastructure. One position will have a particular emphasis on supporting the implementation of the Green Cities programme, and the other will support the team more broadly working on both national and urban/municipal infrastructure projects and related policy work.
The Analyst (A1) focused on Green Cities will support the development and delivery of Green City Action Plans (GCAPs) and related investments as well as policy assignments under the Green Cities Framework. The Analyst will support the Bank’s wider Green Cities Team to ensure compliance of investment projects with the Framework’s impact requirements and assist with delivering quality GCAPs. The Analyst will be one of the Bank’s representatives with clients, government authorities and other stakeholders on Green Cities.
The Analyst (A2) that will support the broader work within Sustainable Business and Infrastructure team, will focus on national infrastructure and transport projects.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
The analyst may operate across multiple areas, depending on business needs. One analyst will have a particular emphasis on the Green Cities programme. The other analyst will support wider sustainable infrastructure team activities. A candidate with some exposure to major infrastructure projects would be preferred.
