About this position
The Amazon Coordination Unit (ACU) is looking for a strategic Operations Lead Specialist. You will be responsible for enhancing coordination and fostering synergies within the IDB Group and with external partners on Amazon related projects.
You will work in the Amazon Coordination Unit, in the context of the Regional Program \"Amazonia Forever\". This team facilitates the implementation of the Amazonia Forever Program through proactive and strategic coordination and the building of strong alliances and relationships, in close collaboration with the IDB Group's operational areas, with special attention to cross-cutting issues of fundamental importance for achieving results through the Amazon Coordination Unit.
It is a small and dynamic team, with divisions of responsibility, but also with an expectation of teamwork, proactivity, flexibility, and a spirit of collaboration. The team works closely with the IDB's Climate Change and Sustainable Development (CSD) Manager, as well as with Specialists and Managers from across the IDB Group and from the Amazon countries.

Lead specific projects and/or internally coordinate the sectors and countries.
What you'll need
Education: A Master’s degree in global development, foreign policy, economy, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience and possess strong interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively influence and work with all levels of staff and internal and external counterparts, including senior management, the Board of Executive Directors, external partners, among others. Languages: Proficiency in English and one of the other Bank official languages (Spanish, French or Portuguese) is required.Key skills

Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries. We may offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents. Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.
Type of contract and duration
International staff contract, 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
