• Demonstrates integrity by modeling the UN’s values and ethical standards;
  • Promotes the vision, mission, and strategic goals of UNODC;
  • Displays cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability;

 

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in law, political or social science, criminal justice, criminology, international relations, or public administration is required.
  • A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • Eight years of relevant professional experience in programme/project development, implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building.
  • Experience in the field of crime prevention and criminal justice and / or prison reform is a strong asset.
  • Experience in drafting, editing and producing written proposals and results-focused reports is an advantage.
  • Experience coordinating and liaising government agencies, civil society, international organizations and/or donors is an asset.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet and database packages; experience in handling web-based management systems are desirable.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral English and Russian language skills are required.
  • Fluency in Kazakh is highly desirable.
