Background:

The incumbent will work under the supervision of the National Project Officer. The primary responsibility of the incumbent is to provide organizational and technical support to the international experts facilitating the training events.


Tasks and Responsibilities:

Under the overall supervision of the National Project Officer of the Centre’s Extra-Budgetary Project “Strengthening Border Service Capacities in Turkmenistan” (Project No. 5200435) and in close co-operation with the Fund Administration Unit (FAU), the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

Deal effectively and efficiently with ongoing issues, to organize the work at the military and non-military training sites during the whole period of training courses Inform the National Project Officer of the items needed for the smooth running of the training at the training site as well as taking notes of the services delivered during the training events e.g. catering services for the participants, monitoring and evaluation forms, payment forms, distribution of training equipment, etc. Take notes as an additional supporting document in making payments to the service providers and monitoring and evaluation filing for project-related reports. Maintain the knowledge based systematic project documentation under direct guidance of the National Project Officer and assist in improving the M&E of all training events and contribute to writing monthly and quarterly reports where necessary.

Necessary Qualifications:

Minimum four years of work experience in office administration, or project management, preferably with an international organization. Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications. Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English, and local languages. Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities; Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity; Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications.

Remuneration Package:

Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deduction, is EUR 991 (12 times a year). OSCE salaries are exempt from taxation in Turkmenistan. Social benefits will include possibility of participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme and the OSCE Provident Fund.
