General Description of the Programme:

GOAL an International Humanitarian Organisation has had a presence in Turkey since 2013 and has been contributing to the migrant response since 2016 with a focus on responding to needs in health service delivery, social safety nets and the protection of vulnerable and marginalised migrants in southern Turkey.

GOAL has been working in Syria since 2013, responding to the acute needs of conflict-affected communities. GOAL is working in Idleb Governate, both through direct implementation and through partners, delivering food, non-food programming to highly vulnerable populations, and provision of Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) through support to Water units, as well as emergency support to recently displaced households.

Job purpose:

We are seeking to hire a full time Training Assistant

Reporting to Training Officer, the Training Assistant (TA) will develop, advise on and implement the training plans. Their aim is to ensure that the organisation invests in its staff in terms of skills and experience, and that training and development opportunities are available to employees to enhance their performance and achieve the GOAL’s organisational aims.

Duties, objectives and competencies

  • Working closely with the training officer to develop the training plans and schedules in line with GOAL Training policies.
  • Conducting trainings for the GOAL staff on general skills.
  • Organizing and facilitating the training sessions (invitations, coordination etc.)
  • Helping in creating forms and surveys for the trainings.
  • Coordination with training and capacity building centres
  • Documentation of the conducted trainings.
  • keep informing employees about any training opportunity.
  • organise a staff database regarding training needs and taken trainings.
  • Prepare training plans for Goal teams derived from their performance appraisals coordinating with his line manager and departments heads.
  • Ensure that all approved training plans has been implemented accordingly.
  • Facilitate and support Training Officer to achieve all training plans and suggest relevant trainings according to the budget.

Requirements (essential)

  • Bachelor from a recognized university.
  • At least two years of related experience in training
  • Good knowledge of humanitarian principles
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Distinguish and persuasive of training manner.
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Fluency in Arabic and good English language skills (spoken and written) desirable.
  • Previous training facilitating/implementing experience.
  • Attention to detail.
