Job Summary
Provides oversight for the various teams supporting the operational efforts of the organization’s private resource development efforts. Coordinates with International Affiliate Offices, Partner Organizations and International Operations unit in all manners of sponsorship policy. Provides strategic support to the Chief Development Officer to help the organization achieve its goals for private resource development.

Principal Responsibilities
Child Sponsorship
Coordinate with global stakeholders to ensure proper sponsorship policy, reporting tools and inventory.
• Through oversight of the Field Sponsorship Services team and in coordination with the various U.S. acquisition units, Field Offices and Regional Offices, ensure the proper sponsorship inventory to support acquisition efforts and support Field Office growth.
• Chair the Sponsorship Policy Council and coordinate with affiliates (i.e. FH/Canada, FH/UK), partner organization (i.e. KFHI and FH/Japan) and Field Offices to ensure we have sponsorship policies and practices to achieve excellence in sponsorship reporting.
• Through oversight of the Field Sponsorship Services team, ensure Field Offices are provided adequate training and support on both the processes and tools (i.e. WorldLink) to support Child Sponsorship reporting.
• Coordinate with IT and other stakeholders to ensure we have the processes, systems and tools to support and grow our global sponsorship efforts.
• In consultation with the International Operations units and Regional Offices, establish the annual sponsorship income budgets for each Field Office sponsorship program.
Working Groups
Represent the Development Operations unit in various working groups and task forces.
• Lend support to the International Operations unit for further development and refinement of our program models, M&E, and associated systems/processes by representing the global interests of child sponsorship and the organization’s private fund raising operations.
• Participate in various working groups (i.e. the Enterprise Resource Planning Team, Global Leadership Team, Sponsorship Strategy Team) as assigned or as needed to support the Development Operation unit priorities.
• Assist in other strategic planning or support activities as requested.
Strategy Realization
Ensure that Development Operations thinks and acts strategically at all times in alignment with FH’s organizational direction.
• In collaboration with the CDO, co-create the departmental strategy and performance targets.
• Develop annual work plans focusing on objectives and key results, aligned with the strategy and organizational targets.
• Make adjustments based on data and learning to maximize our ability to achieve our stated objectives.
• Ensure strategic and operational alignment across all Development Operations teams.

Promote, model and safeguard our Christian, biblically based, relational approach in all we do.
• Promote and support the organization’s understanding of and alignment with the Food for the Hungry Heartbeat throughout the department.

Leadership and Support
Provide leadership and support needed for all teams in the Development Operations unit to achieve excellence.
• Provide oversight and coordinate the activities and the business processes of all Donor Operations teams, in conjunction with IT, Finance or other relevant parties to ensure effective operations, processes and tools.
• Provide informal and formal feedback to direct reports in a timely manner including mid-year and annual reviews.
• Create and manage the Development Operations budget and ensure the same for all of the respective Donor Operations teams.

Experience
• Significant years of related experience, with at least several years in a global organization.

Education/Certification
• Bachelor's degree.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises all aspects of FH programming, public resource and private resource mobilization, and external affairs / public policy and advocacy. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and in compliance with all applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues, etc.
