SUMMARY DESCRIPTION
The Foundation’s People & Culture (P&C) team operates with a Business Partner/Center of Expertise (CoE) model and this position sits on the Talent Acquisition CoE. The Senior Manager (SM), Talent Acquisition will be at the forefront of shaping our workforce by managing full-cycle recruitment processes and lead or participate in programs and projects that are a part of the overall TA strategy. Reporting to the Global Director, Talent Acquisition the SM will design innovative recruitment strategies that attract top talent, ensure alignment with industry best practices, and will provide direction, advice, and counsel to staff on recruitment-related matters.
The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a collaborative, high-functioning team and has extensive experience recruiting, has familiarity with work visa and immigration procedures, and a track record of sourcing and placing high-quality candidates. This candidate will have experience working with applicant tracking systems, possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, maintain confidence and inspire trust. They will enjoy working in partnership with hiring managers to build high-performing teams and thrive in a mission-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the full-cycle recruiting process globally, from sourcing to negotiation and closing.
Partner with and coach hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
Continuously improve existing recruiting programs, processes, and identify innovative strategies for finding top talent.
Develop. and execute creative, robust and diverse sourcing plans.
Designs interview panels, creates strong assessment criteria rubrics, and ensures that the business sticks to the process.
Assists Talent Acquisition leadership in making data-driven decisions and strategy formulation.
Manages and executes the Foundation’s relocation in partnership with an external vendor for all new hires and internal transfers.
Manages and executes immigration and visa policies and processes for all new hires and internal transfers.
Collaborates with the P&C Partner team on all workforce planning initiatives, specifically related to the talent acquisition process, ensuring sufficient talent pipelines in high-priority areas.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 6 years of experience in recruiting and staffing either in a not-for-profit organization or in a corporation in a global setting.
Experience managing full-cycle recruitment at all levels, from sourcing to negotiation and closing. Some global recruiting experience is required.
Practical experience in recruiting with a strong focus on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) principles, and guiding hiring managers in this process.
Knowledgeable in visa and immigration processes and practices.
Proven track record in sourcing high-quality candidates across various disciplines.
Skilled in managing relatively high-volume hiring systems.
Stay up-to-date with best practices and innovative approaches in recruiting.
Ability to establish and build strong relationships with staff at all levels, including senior management, hiring managers, and consultants.
Possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights from data.
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines, be discreet and professional when dealing with confidential information, and handle multiple projects.
Self-motivated and proactive with outstanding coaching, consultative and influencing skills; ability to listen and learn from diverse perspectives.
Strong organization and project management skills; ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Experience or familiarity working with ATS systems such as Taleo, Greenhouse, iCIMS or Workday(preferred).
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is primarily a sedentary role. However, the person in this position may need to occasionally move about inside the office to liaise with internal staff, access files, office machinery and a copy machine/printer.

SALARY: The Ford Foundation is committed to practicing salary transparency. The minimum starting salary for this position is $140,000 and the maximum is $155,000.
LOCATION: This position is based in the foundation’s New York office. We operate in a hybrid model and require staff to be in the office three days per week.
