This is an exciting opportunity to join the Brooke family on a fixed-term basis (parental leave cover) in the role of Senior Manager, Global Animal Welfare. The Global Animal Welfare team collaborates across the organisation and with external partners to ensure animal welfare sits at the epicentre of all the charity’s work.
In this management position, you will lead a team of experienced advisors and together work across the organisation to promote and build capacity in working equine welfare and support others to deliver impactful, sustainable and evidence-based solutions to animal welfare needs.
We are looking for an individual who has a real commitment to animal welfare and to the vision and mission of the Brooke. You will utilise your leadership talents and understanding of animal (equine) welfare and related topics to advance the interests of the Brooke. You will need excellent people and project management skills and experience implementing plans, policies and procedures at a senior level and within international contexts.
You must have the confidence to challenge, willingness to support others as well as inspire and motivate change in people on behalf of animals. Excellent technical understanding must sit alongside excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, coaching, mentoring and communicating with tact, diplomacy, sensitivity and patience.
