Project Officer for Capacity Building – RISE for Children Project (Nationals Only)

The Role
The Project Officer- Capacity Building will take the lead in implementing capacity building component of RISE for Children Project for strategic partners in government, LGUs and CSOs. He/she will conduct organizational capacity assessments with these partners, organize capacity-building activities and partners meetings, take charge of maintaining partner information and participate in the preparation of reports to donors. The PO is also responsible for ensuring that the Save the Children Partnership Principles are understood and applied in projects and programs that involve non-funding partnerships with government agencies, local government units and civil society organizations (CSOs).

Qualifications and Experience
* At least 3 years relevant experience of developing capacity building plans, designing training programs and building local civil society organizations capacity
* Degree in Community Development, Social Sciences or equivalent experience
* Substantial knowledge of government, local government and civil society structures, strategy development, and structure and system development
* Experience in working with government institutions and civil society organizations, preferably with some exposure to capacity building and collaborative work
* Has proven skills in program development and design, training management, and facilitation processes
* Computer literate and adept in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
* A team player, willing to work long hours toward the attainment of program objectives & deliverables
* Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; Able to articulate ideas and concepts clearly verbally and in writing
* Computer literate and adept in the use of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Highly organized, with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organize work
* Can work well in highly stressful situations, prioritize deliverables and meet reasonable deadlines
* Understands and believes in Save the Children’s mission and vision; commits to its objectives and willing to adopt Save the Children’s methodology and framework.
* Willing to travel to any part of the country and be deployed for both humanitarian response and development programming

Contract length: Fixed term position until September 2021 based in National Capital Region
