AWO International Southeast Asia is in need of a Program Officer – Humanitarian Action (PO HumA). The Program Officer will be responsible for the management and administration of AWO International’s portfolio on DRR and humanitarian response. AWO International supports local partner organizations through its regional office for Southeast Asia (RO SEA). The position is based in Makati City, with regular monitoring visits to project areas in the Philippines and Indonesia.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Disaster Management, Finance or similar subject
· 3 years working experience in the context of Humanitarian Action, DRR or a similar field
· Knowledge in humanitarian standards and principles (SPHERE, CHS etc.)
· Knowledge in results-based project management incl. project planning and monitoring
· Ability to operate in a cross-cultural environment requiring flexibility
· Good communication and computer skills and fluent written and oral English
· Applicant must have a learning attitude, be flexible and ready for frequent and longer field trips
· Experience working with international Non-Government Organizations (INGOs) is an advantage
