Project Overview and Role:
Palladium are currently seeking a Manager, Security to join the Safety and Security Team in London to work with our Palladium Americas partnership.

The role will report to the Palladium Americas Partnership with a functional management relationship with the Director, Safety and Security.

The role is responsible for assisting in the promotion and development a duty of care culture with emphasis on safety and security in the Palladium Americas partnership. This by managing the process of production, communication and training of Company Safety and Security policies, processes and procedures.

The Manager, Security will also be responsible for the maintenance of the Company Safety and Security Management framework and wider day to day mainten ance of the systems and providers established to support Safety and Security throughout the Palladium Americas partnership footprint. This includes management of the incident reporting cascade and of the Crisis Management Plan.

The position will provide Safety and Security guidance to the Company capture process and the incumbent will also be required to undertake travel to conduct site security and OHSS assessment visits and audits.

Responsibilities
* Manage the implementation of the organisation’s health and safety strategy to ensure the continued growth, development, and compliance of all Palladium Group entities.
* Periodically review the existing safety and security policies and processes and make recommendations to improve the safety and security framework.
* Design, document and implement standard safety and security procedures, guidelines, and checklists.
* Design and improve evacuation and emergency response plans for all Company and project locations.
* Ensure that crisis response plans are in place and regularly tested and crises are handled fulfilling any applicable local regulatory requirements.
* Ensure compliance to all relevant safety and security procedures and controls across all offices to ensure employee safety and legislative compliance and ensure lost time incidents are kept to a minimum.
* Perform regular safety and security audits for all Company office and project locations and identify areas for improvement and ensure that appropriate corrective or preventive actions are taken including follow up reviews.
* Manage relationships with service providers (e.g. emergency services, security groups, insurance company) and report on issues and risks arising.
* Provide a monthly and quarterly security report which will form the basis of a board security update.
* Design office induction material on security and occupational health and safety and ensure that proper induction will be provided to newly hired employees and consultants.
* Recommend training requirements relating to safety and security and put in place training for all staff, including Hostile environment Awareness Training as required.
* Monitor the appointment of health and safety officers, fire wardens and first aid officers for every office, complying with local legislation as required.
* Make recommendations on security and related support services available.
* Support and advise staff involved in business capture on security and safety issues and ensure adequate provision is made in bids for secure and safe working environments on projects.

Requirements and Competencies
* Proven experience in managing security in severe and high security threat environments.
* Proven experience of remote management and mentoring.
* Formal training in operating in hostile environments.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational, documentation and technical writing skills
* Effective interpersonal skills including effective negotiation and conflict resolution skills
* Willingness to travel to various Company locations, including to projects in countries with severe and high security threat environments.
