DRC aims to implement a programme to improve the living conditions and promoting the resilience of the most vulnerable populations in Jordan. It also aims at building the capacities of local and national actors, including national institutions and civil society (NGOs and CSOs) by providing effective instruments to enable the development of medium-long term sustainable solutions.

The purpose of this role is to work on the complaint and feedback mechanism components.

DRC is looking to hire Livelihood Officer – Outreach in Mafraq Center .

About the job

The individual will report directly to Base Manager-Mafraq. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

· Deliver information sessions on CfW/EIIP modalities, criteria for selection, beneficiaries’ rights, the objectives of the RSCP, and the process for salary payments.

· Provide information on how to access and utilize the complaints mechanism in a safe and confidential manner. Information sessions will be conducted in Arabic.

· In addition to regular quality spot checks, the outreach officer will monitor the payment procedures and support local authorities and/or contractors in tracking them, with the support from DRC staff, consisting of the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL), complaints, and finance officers.

  • Coordinate with DRC’s legal officers will provide legal awareness sessions for interested workers during the CfW/EIIP cycle and any cases requiring further assistance will be referred to DRC for legal counselling.

· Collect all complaints (verbally and in written format) from individuals engaged in CfW programming including complaints around work conditions and contractual matters (when relevant), etc; and Ensure efficient referral of complaints to the responsible party, and follow up in a timely manner to ensure taking appropriate actions;

· Document all the complaints as per DRC standard operating procedures;

· Hold regular open office hours where individuals may come in person to raise concerns about CfW related concerns;

· Coordinate with the CFW implementation partners in regards to conduct onsite regular information sessions for CfWorkers.

· Adapt and improve the relevant complaint process based on monitoring effectiveness, with the oversight of the base manager;

About you

Required / Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant area (e.g. International Relations, Development Studies) or a combination of a business related university degree and additional relevant experience

• At least 2 years of previous experience working with INGOs;

• Previous experience working on cash for work project;

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to foster communication stakeholders;**

• Strong organizational and time management skills;

• Ability and willingness to maintain regular presence at project sites and to work during irregular working hours;

• Arabic (fluent) &English (good)
