Back Lead: Institutional Funding and Partnerships (FTC until July 2021)

About the role

Are you an inspirational business development professional with a strong track record in positioning and generating income from institutional and government donors? Can you provide a clear focus on delivering team objectives as well as your own, to diversify our engagement and funding from with a range of institutional/government donors? Can you promote best practices in business development, supporting colleagues and challenging ways of working to ensure the highest quality and levels of efficiency. You will provide leadership to the organisation as we seek to grow and expand our long-standing relationship with key institutional donors.

This role is fixed-term until July 2021 and due to COVID-19 it is currently home based. Once the office reopens the main base for the role will be our Brighton office with flexibility for working from home.

The role will include:

• Leading a project team to build strong and effective relationships with key institutional/government donors including the UK government to secure and grow Frontline AIDS income.
• Identifying, shaping and responding to relevant funding opportunities, aligning these with organisational priorities.
• Leading intelligence gathering about key institutional/government donors, and new funding opportunities.
• Leading proactive engagement with key institutional donors, and supporting team members to build critical relationships with key stakeholders.
• Leveraging the Frontline AIDS’ matrixed project structure to ensure that “cases for support” and strategies are generated which speak to the priorities of key donors.

We’ve been on the frontline of the world’s response to HIV and AIDS for 25 years, working with marginalised people who are denied HIV prevention and treatment simply because of who they are and where they live.

Set up in 1993 to work with community groups in the countries most affected by the global AIDS epidemic, we’ve continually adapted our approach, looking for innovative ways to break down the barriers that marginalise people living with, or at risk of acquiring, HIV. All with one goal in mind – a future free from AIDS for everyone, everywhere.
