The Role

The Humanitarian Programme Coordinator (HPC) leads the design, implementation, management and coordination of the humanitarian response in the north of Yemen, through supporting the Programme Managers to design and deliver the humanitarian programme in the field. This includes representation, coordination, programme management, advocacy and programme support at senior levels.

What we are looking for

Oxfam Yemen is looking for a self-assured experienced Humanitarian Programme Coordinator (HPC), who wants to patricipate to effective, efficient and quality humanitarian response to the conflict affected population in northern Yemen.

Skills and Experiences:

Essential:

  • At least 12 years’ experience managing humanitarian programmes, and an understanding of relevant issues, especially in a conflict setting.
  • At Least Bachelor Degree in Social Science field or related, Master degree desirable.
  • Proven experience in programme and project management skills including planning, monitoring, evaluation, budgeting, financial analysis and reporting, proposal development and report preparation.
  • Strong skills and experience in capacity-building of staff and partners, including coaching and on-the-job training.
