Health Technical Specialist - Immunization, [Somalia/Somaliland] Country Office
Within the Programme Development and Quality Unit, the Health Technical Specialist - Immunization (HTS-Immunization) takes direct responsibility coordination of Save the Children International's work on Immunization in the Somalia/Somaliland programme under the supervision of the Senior Health Technical Health Specialist (SHTS). As a member of the Technical Support Team in the programme, the HTS-Immunization is responsible for providing high quality technical guidance to programme implementation team, coordinating the delivery of high quality, innovative, cost effective immunization programmes both in emergency as well as long-term development, resulting in immediate and lasting change for children. The HTS-Immunization will be accountable for contribution to the development, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and administration of the immunization programme in support of achievement of planned objectives of the work plan, aligned with country programme goals, objectives and strategy. Also, the HTS-Immunization will initiate Immunization-focused studies, documentation and dissemination of innovations and good practices by working together with quality programmes team; leading on policy research and advocacy on Immunization through networking and collaboration with relevant civil society organizations and other institutions; playing a key role in establishing, maintaining and expanding donor relations for Immunization.
In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.
