SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Field Coordinator’s primary responsibilities are to manage and support logistics and camp coordination for the Ritsona Camp operations of Lighthouse Relief (LHR). The Field Coordinator oversees staff accommodation, LHR fleet management, finances, and supports camp coordination for Ritsona; additionally, he/she will act as LHR’s focal point on site for Greek Authorities and other actors. The Field Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the smooth running of LHR’s Psychosocial Support (PSS) programmes in Ritsona, namely: our Child Friendly Space (CFS), our Youth Engagement Space (YES), our Resident Volunteer Program (RVP) and our Sports Program (SP).

Leads and Supervises directly: CFS Manager, YES Manager , RVP Facilitator, SP Facilitator
Leads and Supervises indirectly: CFS Facilitator and YES Facilitator, CFS intern and YES intern, Ritsona Resident Volunteers (on site), Short-Term Volunteers (if applicable)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordination LHR/Camp
Represent LHR in Ritsona Camp toward Greek Authorities, Site Management Support Agency (IOM) and other actors
Represent LHR for authorization requests and permission to Ministry of Migration and Asylum, Reception and Identification Services (RIS)
Focal point for external actors/visitors in cooperation with Programme Managers and Head of Communications
Represent LHR during Coordination and Protection meetings
Ensure timely communication with relevant actors and authorities for Child Protection and general incidents and concerns
Ensure smooth and positive coordination and cooperation with other actors for activities and events
Safety and Security protocol and procedures
Ensure that LHR’s safety and security guidelines are up to date and upheld in daily implementation of all our programmes
Ensure adherence to security plans, standard operating procedures and health protocols from all staff members;
Ensure safety standards are applied and adhered to by all teams regarding LHR's assets, donations and stakeholder assets in Ritsona.
Field team recruitment and support
Ensure TORs and interview procedures are up to date and compliant with LHR standards
Responsible for recruitment of Ritsona staff members, in coordination with Programme Managers and Country Coordinator, and their onboarding
Responsible for performance evaluation of Programme Managers and Facilitators on a weekly basis
Oversee programmes in Ritsona, providing administrative and field support to deliver high quality programming
Accommodation
Fleet Management
Ensure that all rented vehicles are paid on time and are checked for routine maintenance
Ensure that LHR vehicles are maintained and serviced
Finances
Keep track of expenses for each program
Report budget needs and develop budget plans in coordination with Country Coordinator
Responsible for reimbursements and signatures (if any)
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED
Degree in International Education, Social Work, Child Development, Psychology, Project Management or Administration
Minimum 25 years of age
At least 2 years work experience in a similar position with an NGO;
Previous experience working with vulnerable populations;
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
Ability to adapt to a multicultural context and work cross-linguistically;
High level of organizational skills, prioritization skills and efficiency;
Cross cultural awareness and flexibility;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a variety of ages and genders
Excellent team leading skills;
Working knowledge of Excel;
Fluency in English and in one of the following languages: Arabic/Kurdish/Farsi/Dari.
Valid work permit in EU;
DESIRED
Experience working in the Greek context;
Knowledge of Greek and/or French/Turkish is an asset;
Project planning, monitoring and evaluation experience;
Experience in HR and/or recruitment
Construction experience;
Manual driving license.
