Where you come in:

In this contract position through to end of December 2022 (with strong potential for extension), you’ll work within a case management framework in an outreach role, providing support to individuals who are experiencing domestic, family or sexual violence. Based in the Mount Isa region, you’ll work flexible hours between 8am and 5pm Monday to Friday, and will report to our Team Leader.

The role is preferably full time (38 hours per week), but we are also open to people who only have part time or casual availability.

You will make an impact by:

Provide holistic case management, delivering support to vulnerable and disadvantaged clients and supporting relationships for favourable client outcomes Identify strengths, establishing goals for the program and reviewing clients progress towards these goals Promote skills which increase health, safety and development Ensuring the voices of children and young people are heard

Does this sound like you?

You’re an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting families within a child centred, strengths-based framework. Importantly, you have a strong understanding of the impact of trauma on children and their families and you’re keenly aware of the additional impacts and barriers experienced by Indigenous families.

This role requires:

Demonstrated experience in case management and knowledge of relevant legislation Demonstrated experience and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and families Strong report writing, analytical and evaluation skills, including data collation and analysis Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or significant experience working in a similar service
