Lighthouse Relief provides psychosocial support on the Greek mainland to children and youth; emergency assistance on the Greek island of Lesvos to new arrivals; and an environmental clean-up programme to support the local community on the north shore of Lesvos.

Position Summary

LHR is looking for an experienced Communications Officer who will be an integral part of the Communications team, drafting copy for various social media channels, spearheading storytelling and fundraising campaigns, and engaging our audience, and upholding LHR’s communications ethics.

The Communications Team is tasked with defining and implementing communication, partnership, and grant management strategies geared at establishing LHR as a trusted voice and presence on the ground; communicating and promoting the mission, vision, and strategy of the organisation to an external audience; and obtaining the necessary support and financial means to allow LHR to fulfill its mission. The CO will have a keen understanding of storytelling initiatives representing vulnerable people, and will work closely with the HoC to evolve the Lighthouse Relief brand voice, always representing the organisation's ethics and values.
