• Coordinate day to day tasks related to the projects assigned;
  • Meet with key partners and stakeholders to better understand the current challenges and current practices at their relevant agencies;
  • Training secretariat staff to be a multitasked team who would manage communications.
  • On the job training and sharing of knowledge of all aspects of media and communications such as holding a press briefing, publishing news and announcements, engaging with public/media and addressing issues of public interest.
  • Develop capacity and support communication’s team to develop content of news and information for media and website and support in developing content of news and information for media and website;
  • Advising the team on improvements to current channels of communications and assistance in execution;
  • Enhance PR capacity of JSC Secretariat. Build JSC media networks and relationships and engage stakeholders;
  • Develop standards (SOPs), checklists, flowcharts etc to guide and institutionalize internal communications, which ensures transparent, consistent, and holistic management of the communications function.
  • Develop materials for PR related matters such as brochures and leaflets, infographics, routine social media posts and information screens;
  • Develop an annual workplan on communication and media relations of related activities and events; 
  • Develop a communications strategy/policy and facilitate the finalization of the document through consultation meeting with JSC and other key stakeholders;
  • Planning of related activities and events and archiving materials for future reference. Training secretariat in the practices developed. Develop archive of photo gallery and train secretariat on photo coverage of JSC events
  • Demonstrated ability of timely completion of tasks and assignments.
  • Proven ability of delivering high quality products.
  • Must possess excellent communication, management and coordination skills.
  • Ability to identify and execute opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of professionals towards a common group

Academic Education and Experience      

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or multimedia
  • 5 years of professional experience in a relevant field
  • 6 months of experience in training

Required Language
