Job Title: Case Worker

Reported to: Program Manager

Location: Gaziantep/Turkey

Job purpose:

To work in accordance with the general objectives and principles of the project, to work in coordination with teammates, and to report all processes at desired intervals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the provision of direct, effective, high-quality case management services (identification, referral, follow up, and closure) in compliance with protection standards

  • Undertake rapid and detailed assessments of beneficiaries

  • Provide counseling calls for beneficiaries

  • Accompany beneficiaries when necessary

  • Translate supporting documents and act as an interpreter when required

  • Support the service mapping activities

  • Document all services (paper or electronic) provided to beneficiaries

  • Apply principles of confidentiality for all beneficiaries including all written documents.

  • Ensure accurate data entry of all cases

  • Keep communication with the communities, provide up to date information on available services

  • Prepare weekly work plan

  • Participate in all training and orientation meetings

  • Undertake other tasks as required

Academic Qualifications:

  • A university degree is preferable, but not required.

Requirements:

  • 1 year of professional/voluntary experience preferably with a humanitarian organization

  • Prior experience in working with children is an asset

  • Proficiency in MS Office suits, and google tools

  • Language: Fluency in Arabic is required. Working knowledge of English or Turkish is a plus

  • A general understanding of the refugee situation in Gaziantep
