Job Description
This job is responsible for assisting and supporting the Senior Officer for Biosafety & Laboratory Maintenance in ensuring that environmental, and bio-safety matters within the laboratory (Biosafety Level 1, 2). It assists in providing the equipment maintenance of the laboratory.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Ensure biosafety of BSL 1,2 laboratory
Assist with day-to-day all laboratory operations including, but not limited to, the monitoring of authorized persons, pathogens, materials and equipment as well as the maintenance of stocks of consumables, personal protective equipment, disinfectants and other materials, while maintaining all necessary records including, but limited to, training, maintenance, validation.
2. Maintain lab and equipment
Assist procurement of the equipment and materials, while coordinating maintenance and repairing service of equipment in laboratory.
Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education Requirements Bachelor’s degree or equivalentRelated Field Work Experience in laboratory
Technical and Professional Skills / Knowledge Microbiology or related biological science preferred
